Displaying tibbles in iESS turns syntax highlighting to grey #1211

This is happening since I switched to Emacs 28: whenever I display a tibble (tbl_df) it turns syntax highlighting to grey. All subsequent output then comes out grey. This switch does not happen when displaying a data.frame.
