Searching for \bword\b produces errors. #1

... because of the temporary trailing backslashes.

Fixed in f44385d3982096569186949575c66393140b9d0c.

This is just a work-around for trailing backslashed. Other cases of malformed regular expressions should perhaps also be handled somehow, and if it's only by showing an error message.
