Hello,
I am not sure if this is even supposed to be supported, but I am using helm and bookmark+, both from melpa Version numbers are:
- helm: 201601122025 * bookmark+: 201512311219
When I try to run helm-filtered-bookmarks, I get the following error (the actual bookmark file that causes the error seems to be randomly chosen):
Looks like an error in bmkp-bookmark-record-from-name
isn't it ?
Perhaps you can send the offending bookmark entry in bookmark-alist
(use describe-variable to get it).
Before I updated the helm version, it worked fine I think that helm interprets the bookmark file somehow in a bad manner
I am not sure of this, helm use the regular bookmark.el functions. Is from emacs -Q C-x r l working with your actual ".emacs.bmk" file ?
Thanks.
Thierry
Hello,
thank you for your response.
emacs -Q
, then loading my bookmark file with bookmark-load
and then C-x r l
works fine.C-x r l
also works fine with bmkp.Only when I run helm-filtered-bookmarks
I get the error from above. It looks to me as if helm gives the whole entry of the bookmark to bmkp-bookmark-record-from-name
and not only the bookmark name. On the other hand, it seems to use regular bookmark.el functions.
Thanks, Dominik

And is helm-filtered-bookmarks
works using your .emacs.bmk
starting
with ./emacs-helm.sh ?
Thierry
Hello,
then it works. So it is a clash between bmkp and helm. Weird that it worked until now though.
Cheers.

Hmm, no I found what's wrong, it is in the new highlight match code that use the match-part fn of the source. It happen when you use a full bookmark display on startup (or if you toggle). You should have your error (or similar) from ./emacs-helm.sh when toggling with C-].
The match-part fn is not needed anymore, removing it should fix your problem.
Thanks.
Thierry
Yes, I get the error when I hit C-] in the emacs-helm.sh
session and it works after pulling your commit.
Thanks again, Dominik
