Scratch that upon restarting emacs made lsp-mode to force to pick up mspyls since it couldn't find pyls in the beginning.
Could you elaborate on how you fixed it? I'm facing the same issue
Did you restart emacs? Do you get the same error? Are you using pyls or mspyls?
I was trying out mspyls, after letting it download around 5 times, it finally succeeded.
Yeah, I don't know why but it seems that I kind of had the same issue initially, after the second time it started properly downloading it but now I know where to put the mspyls folder so next time I won't even think about waiting for emacs to download.

Wnat do you mean by this?
Well, the first time I used lsp I went directly with mspyls and not pyls, so I wasn't sure where things where going to be placed.

It is, but I frequently break things and try new stuff :man_shrugging:
Now the binaries will be downloaded to the ~/.emacs.d/.cache/lsp/mspyls/
.
Refer to b46e672.
Thanks for letting us know.
Hi, I followed the minimal example in the readme in order to install this package using use-package and initially when visiting the file python it stared to download mspyls but then I got the following error
