Does this happen consistently? Or just once?

This is consistent. Even after powering off the phone and back on. I can add
the Calendar extension and select the edit option. My choices are then to show
appointments in the next "2 Days",I check Custom Calendar Visibility, and then
tap to Select calendars to display. I have 9 'calendars' on my Google Calendar
but don't need all items to show. The default options are to show 5 of my 9 -
these are the 5 I have syncing via the Google Calendar App. I deselect the
ones i don't want, tap the top back arrow, and then tap the check mark to save.
The widget DOES hold my selection for a period of time. But at some point
(not sure when bc i haven't timed), I will see an event for one of the
calendars i deselected. I have removed the extension, re-added, and as
mentioned prior - powered off and on. All with same results. I do not use any
other calendar app other than the stock Android (4.2.2) calendar app that syncs
to my Google Calendar. I feel that the settings revert back to showing the
calendars i have syncing in my app but have not tried to stop syncing the ones
i don't want on the widget.

This doesn't happen with any other apps? I'm kind of dumb-founded about what
could cause this... even after clearing data?

Should be fixed in 1.4.2 when it's released
