$context['pretty']['replace_patterns'][] = '~(<loc>)([^<]+)~';

Should work for in sitemap.template.php (in function template_xml_list())
I try and worked on my 2.0 rc1-1 forum. (Sitemap mod 2.0 version.)

I've messaged SlammedDime now, so closing!

Btw, I added them to XMLDisplay() instead, with a check for 
pretty_enable_filters.
