reconstruct missing primdeffilter script #34

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The primdeffilter script source code was not released by Sun as part of the
original source code, and needs to be reconstructed. It is needed whenever
a primitive is added or a primitive definition is changed. This is a
simple script that processes .hpp files. For description of what it does
please see http://code.google.com/p/strongtalk/wiki/Building

It was released.

Look at \tools\primDefFilter.bat

All the script in this directory are written in perl. It contains:
- A primitive RCS (most of the files)
- Stubs to run nmake
- Filters for stat files
- prim.src generation

These tools are of little use i think.
primDefFilter could easily be ported to smalltalk or C

Good point prunedtree; I hadn't seen that script there. So it isn't missing
after
all! I'll close this issue.
