This is a reference ticket to track what was completed in v1.2.4.

Remove handy Makefile
Hardcoded dates
Added git ident ( $id$ ) to track version, but still would prefer git describe
Switch/enforce code standard to PEAR, and remove custom CS config
Update docs & such
