Options like --text-color or --border-color could be complemented with options for a specific urgency like --text-color-low or border-color-high.

When started with sway this would make it possible to let it use the color-variables already set in sway. So changing the color of a theme used in multiple applications could be made much easier.

No, sorry. The CLI options will not grow more complexity.
