first draft for glossary (#71) #84

I created a standalone file for now as it will be probably easier to work with than having inside the manuscript.

I broke down the defined words into categories as it seemed more intuitive.

I'm not an expert on many of the words included so feel free to improve by submitting PR against my branch or by suggesting edits.

Let me know if there are other words in the manuscript that warrant to be included.

Overall, I think this is a great addition - thanks for pulling this together, the majority of people could learn something about a term that they've may have heard before, and it also give a good idea of the topic covered in the text. My primary suggestion is the figure to illustrate data scales.

I added the glossary to the manuscript instead of its own file. It seems to me that the figure to illustrate the data scale would be a little bit of an overkill for the glossary but if others agree that it's needed, I can try to start putting together a figure.
