When you switch chords on the guitar and immediately want to strum, it's important to very conciously press the chord button before strumming. If you strum first and then switch chord, nothing happens. A real guitar is a little bit more forgiving, we should see if we can "transfer" the last strum to the new chord if it happened several millis before switching the chord.
