Write an initial guide #117

This PR continues reflowing content between the various documents. I'll spend some time on the template syntax, since I think it's probably the most important and least obvious from the API docs.

I think it would be good to keep things rolling here so even though the guide is still basically just a stub, I think it's better than what's currently up there. I'll keep working on filling it all in.
