This past week Mitchell finalized the structural markup on the English source and wrote its schema. I did the same thing for the Serbian document. Daniel put in a lot of work on the initial structure of the site, more so than just a splash page. He added a menu with some dropdown options and some place holder information.
Unfortunately, a large portion of the meeting was spent working through a merge conflict between my home and the master branch (entirely my fault, as I forgot to push and then did not pull frequently enough). We also talked through a bit of our design plans on the site, as well as which menu tabs we think we be necessary vs what could potentially be superfluous.
For next week, Mitchell and I will read the poems and determine the best markup strategies for both the English and Serbian source. We need to determine whether or not we will use standoff markup or not. Daniel will work on the alignment of the dropdown menus and figure out how to have a semi-transparent background on top of the existing background image so the text is more readable.
