[Feature request] Auto brightness via webcam #560

It would be nice if Monitorian would allow setting auto brightness for setups without an ambient light sensor. It could read the webcam in some fixed interval to gauge the brightness of the environment, then set the monitor brightness accordingly. Not sure how complicated this is, might be out of scope, but definitely a feature I'd like to see :)

Thank you for the suggestion. However, I have no idea about whether a webcom can be used as ambient light sensor nor how to do it.

I see :) Just did a bit of research - a webcam can be used, but the reliability of the results might not be the best, so yeah, this probably will stay an idea and isn't really implementable. :(
