Delete fabric element in scenario #308

Closed cagabi closed 7 years ago

cagabi commented 7 years ago

It would be good to be able to do it just as you do in the master scenario (not as a measure)

helen-urbed commented 7 years ago

Hi Carlos - I've had to change the priority on this one as it's fairly critical to an assessment I'm working on at the moment (I want to be able to delete some of the rooflights because of overheating).

ghost commented 7 years ago

Hi Helen,

As a workaround for you can simply change the area for the rooflight elements you want to remove to '0' and then add in new areas of insulated roof as required.

Not totally ideal from a neatness point of view, but it does the job.

I tried that but it screwed up the space heating calc - made it go 'NaN'. So I've just reduced the areas for the roof lights I don't want to smallest possible as a workaround in the meantime.

Ah - it seems you can set opaque elements to zero area without it doing that, but because the rooflights will also contribute solar gain, it doesn't have the same effect on the calc.

One for Carlos then.

Hi, having a quick look at my email.

Helen, when do you need this done? Can it wait until the 27th? If not, I'll be able to make a bit of time, it's not a big mission to do what you need

Think it would be ok to wait until then, there are other things I need to finish on the assessment in the meantime and we won’t issue it to the householders until Jonathan is back next week.

Thanks, Helen
