At the time we launched Emory Digital Collections in 2020, we had to hard-code 3 featured collections on the homepage. We want the ability for repository administrators to feature new and different collections as we have added much more content in the last 3 years.

A clear and concise description of what you want to happen.
Repository administrators can use a self-service interface to select collections to feature.
More than 3 collections can be selected as features, and the homepage display will randomly display them when the page is loaded.
The existing collection banner images already uploaded through Curate can be re-used for the Featured Collection thumbnail.

Putting in development tickets for software engineering to add/change the 3 featured collections
Manually preparing thumbnail images for the 3 featured collections
Status quo: no changes to the homepage features since 2020

Collection managers can have their material featured upon request
Visitors to Emory Digital Collections will become aware of new and different content
