Trying to cloning your repository works, but checking out either of the branches currently doesn't because git throws an error.

On Windows 11.
Running git config core.protectNTFS false fixes the issue but it is not something one wants to have to disable I guess?

Cloning through WSL worked for me. I did not have to change my git configuration on Windows. Then you can remove or replace the offending file.
