Gift Membership Issue #38

A friend of mine bought a gift membership yesterday. He said there was a picture blocking the payment button. He eventually figured out that if he held his mouse over the correct spot, he was able to make the payment. Not sure if anything can be done to make the process easier, but I'm wondering if other people are experiencing the same issue.

We also found while investigating backed up email that the gift memberships emails were causing problems in the Mandrill module. I think we worked around this (see 368ff41295447998725cb4ea8a0ca45b4e158f72 and 125871c8e6ab35985d3d4bef382ef6e623d0f895) but we should test the gift membership email to make sure.

I did some testing last night and then had someone in the club confirm that test emails are now making it out properly with the mandrill module.

@brockboland - Did we push the patch for the fix upstream?

Actually: we should test the gift membership emails and make sure they have all the information and/or attachments they should, since it was one of those that caused problems in the first place.

@brockboland Any updates on pushing this upstream? Do we still need to leave open?

They haven't merged the patch, and I doubt they will. I think it would be worth taking a closer look at gift membership emails to figure out what might be wrong with them: like I said, they might not be displaying correctly on the receiving end, or might be missing details, or something else.

I'd keep this issue open, but it's lower priority.
