This isn't really an "issue" but the dmenu you used when giving the pull request on luke's github was amazing. Is there a posibility I could get your dmenu files?

Thanks for your message.

Actually it's been a very long time since I last used dmenu.

The repo was updated 10 months ago but I don't even remember why I updated it because I have been using Wayland for years now and haven't used X in that period.

What exactly you missed? Maybe I can help with that.

Because my dmenu was almost barebones raw. I have removed some code that I don't need from the original dmenu then added some patches such as centered menu, gruvbox colors, transparency (maybe), filtering.
