This Pull Request fixes #5 and also adds clarification with regard to Python 2 and Python 3. We're still trying to support Python 2, but 10 years after this project was created, it's best to warn the users about switching to Python 3.
Note: The packaged version of this project on Python Package Index is still not updated, and it supports only Python 2.
