Spell Checker (Default Language is set to German on English System) #170

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Spell checker in Update input box only corrects German language

2. All English language appears with red underline.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Using 1.9 on Vista Home x64

Please provide any additional information below.

I am running the Canadian English version of Vista.  The only German part
installed is a German language pack for Office 2007.  The is a major
problem for me.  I really want the spell checker to check English.
