add more "pop" to the hover state. #19

hover state can be better. currently there is just a background change, but
we can do stuff such as scale transforms.

Twitter is now allowing bigger avatar images - they used to only allow 48x48, 
now 
it's up to 700KB. Maybe hover state could show a slightly larger avatar?
