Feedback from YellowCow (A5):

Jorenne: This app looks really nice! I actually wanted to do something like this for COGS 120, but we scrapped the idea because we couldn't figure out how to make it more unique than Google Maps. The loading screen is a nice touch (idk if that's a custom icon/logo, but if it isn't I would make one to have better marketing). I like the UI a lot because it looks really simple to navigate (literally!). I think the next big step is implementing the user accounts to share and save lists; otherwise, your app really only has that one core map functionality. When you implement that, I would recommend adding a few buttons when creating lists: save, clear, delete, preview. This would make the user interactions even more easier to flow through and account for freedom of error. I wish the app would do live tracking and navigating so drivers can follow the route in real time, but the group said that it's too difficult to complete by the end of the quarter (if y'all are invested in this project, I think this would be a really cool feature to add in the far future).

Tony: The app is really slick and functional. I really like the loading screen animation when opening the app. The positioning of the elements of the UI for the app is really on point. There are several functionality that can be implemented next for the app. First is the ability for user to save a planned trip. However, since the user account feature is not implemented yet, the team will need to implement that first. Currently, there is a problem when the app cannot detect user's GPS. When users location cannot be detected, the query plan cannot be submitted and the app becomes unusable. A feature that could be useful is to have user set a starting point when GPS can't be detected.

Chang: I like the way the app looks. Kudos to the person who designed it. The functionality seems to work as well. I wish you guys can let me create a route but I understand that can be saved for the next milestone. Keep up the good work!

Ricky: I really like how the app has a nice flow to it! It's useful and also clean. I like how you can easily switch the order of the destinations and the ease of finding locations. I like how the app is well done for mobile too. As mentioned, I wish there were a way to get suggestions about different types of places you'd like to go to (food, adventure, etc). I wish the app would update the directions without clicking a submit button. As a trip planner, I wish there was a modal/page where I could view all of the directions without having to use the scroll bar. Exporting and downloading to a Word document/Excel spreadsheet would be cool for offline use and even printing it out. I would like to see labels on the actual pins for each location, or labeling each location as A, B, C, etc on the Destinations tab.

Arvin: I like that there’s a default trip when you start, as sort of a guide to a new user to see how a trip looks on the tab section and the map. I love that you modified the app on mobile, modifying the tab section to make it easier on mobile! I want something more on the pins, you talked about how you would add the name of the place on the pin, but you should go further than that. Maybe the info window on the pins should have a picture or brief info about the place. So when a user searches for a place and it appears on the map, they could get a bit of information about the place, cause maybe they don’t know about that place and just searched it up on the map to plan a trip to a place they’ve never been before. Also, you should label the locations on the tab section, so people know which location corresponds to which on the map

Siyu: It's good that you can now add and remove locations to visit from the list. Is it possible to drag the items around as well? It would be nice if you dynamically move the locations around and plan a trip accordingly. It looks like you have made good progress so far and may I suggest that if two locations are very close to one another, the app should suggest that you visit these locations one after the other instead of jumping around the map.
