@biljir care to comment on these words, I hope to make a new release sometime within the next two weeks

[These comments were meant for a different thread. I've removed them here and pasted them into the right thread. Actual comments on this thread will be forthcoming.]

@biljir thanks

Not a lot of comments from me on these words.

foodbank(s) - Google ngrams shows usage as "food bank" is considerably higher. I only found this in one dictionary, and they showed it with a space.

Bendictus and Magnificat are useful words if you happen to be writing about classical music or Catholic worship.

facepalm/ed/ing/s is a neologism, and it's hard to know how prevalent it is. I'm guessing that it's become well-known and should be added.

unbothered turns up in one of 4 American dictionaries. My intuition says to add it.

supermassive is in 2 of the 4 dictionaries I checked. I wonder if it is ever used except in the phrase "supermassive black hole". At any rate, it seems reasonable to add it.

Though mitzvah/mitzvoth is most familiar from the phrase "bar mitzvah", it is meaningful as a stand-alone word. I'd add it/them.

I'm not sure whether muchly has become "acceptable" yet. It's not in my ESL dictionaries, which are usually ahead of the standard dictionaries in picking up words of this sort. I'd leave it out for now.

I would add multipart.

I have seen overarching as an adjective, but I don't think I've ever seen overarch as a verb. overarching the adjective is in all 4 American dictionaries, and should be added if it's not already there.

perplexingly is in 3 of the 4 dictionaries I checked, and in no way obscure. I'd add it.

@biljir I added "mitzvah" but not "mitzvoth" as the latter could easily be confused with the more common "mitzvot", so I am leaving it out.

kevina commented 7 years ago

@biljir when I said "more common" I was going on what http://app.aspell.net/lookup-freq?words=mitzvoth;also=similar;parm=normal was telling me. I am not 100% sure but I think "mitzvoth" is a less common variant of "mitzvot".

kevina commented 7 years ago

Neither "mitzvoth" or "mitzvot" is included but I think I will add "mitzvot".

biljir commented 7 years ago

I have no reason to think this is wrong. It may be that how the relevant Hebrew word should be transcribed into English is a matter of controversy among Hebrew speakers (in which case it might be worth including both forms), but I'm not willing to attempt the research necessary to see whether this is actually so or not.

kevina commented 7 years ago

Some quick research only turns out that possible plurals are "mitzvoth" or "mitzvot" or even "mitzvahs" and I could not find any guidance to the preferred form, so for now I think I will leave the plural out.

biljir commented 7 years ago

I think you should accept some plural, and given that mitzvahs is acceptable (pretty clearly it's not a plural derived from Hebrew, but a standard English plural) I would choose that one.

kevina commented 7 years ago

I added all the words I am going to from this and filed a separate issue for the plural of mitzvah.
