"thru" is not a word #331

The word thru seems to be listed as a valid word in all the locales. The word is considered informal in every dictionary, and is not really ever used outside of the US and maybe Canada; it should just be removed when the proper and formal through is available in all cases.

I originally had this word marked as a variant, than someone complained so I added it back. I agree it is an informal variant. It is used in the US when part of the word drive-thru which is sometime written without the hyphen. It is now marked as a variant (again) but will still appear in the American dictionary as a word ending, it is also in the larger 70 size (for now) as it does have it's uses.
