Kyiv is the Ukrainian transliteration to the Latin alphabet of the Cyrillic word, so its Ukrainian not English; c.f. Italy, Rome, Florence, all English words, not Italian.
Kiev is used in a number of English titles such as the dish Chicken Kiev and the Mussorgsky composition from Pictures at an Exhibition - The Great Gate of Kiev. If you try to change those usages, nobody will know what you're talking about.
(Nobody knows what BBC newsreaders are talking about when they say "Keef" anyway - they sound like the Rolling Stones' singer saying the guitarist's forename!) ;^>
Kyiv is the only correct way to refer to the capital of Ukraine. "Kiev" is a transliteration from russian. It does matter to us, especially nowadays.
I will add Kyiv but likely leave Kiev in for now.

can we get Kyiv added ?
and perhaps even remove Kiev since Kyiv is the correct spelling ?
