[Request - Product] Azure AD Connect #2512

Open stefanhuibers opened 1 year ago

stefanhuibers commented 1 year ago

Full and short name of product Azure AD Connect (AAD Connect)

Does this product have LTS versions? What are the intervals between each LTS version? No

What is the website for the product and for its version information? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/hybrid/reference-connect-version-history https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/hybrid/reference-connect-version-history-archive

Additional context A lot of versions will retire 15th march '23, so would be great when the versions wil be published on endoflife.date. Our server monitoring is using the API and generates alerts when a (soon) unsupported prodcut is installed.

stefanhuibers commented 1 year ago

@adriens aad-connect would be my advice

captn3m0 commented 1 year ago

Why not azure-ad-connect? Is aad-connect common usage?

Why not azure-ad-connect? Is aad-connect common usage?

:+1: for azure-ad-connect or azure-ad or ms-azure-ad

adriens commented 1 year ago

(getting azure in the name would make eol much much more efficient)

'microsoft-aad-connect' would be also fine, but isn't a realy 'short' name. 'aad-connect' is a common short name Microsoft is using in it's own documentation (and a lot of other websites). Refer: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/hybrid/reference-connect-version-history

In fact, I think that keek this comfort on eol is important for the UX :
