Try again with the latest version. Also take note that there is a notification with an exit button which should revert the screen size if the USB disconnected callback is not called.
Ok. I will do tests today and let you know feedback. I will use "Exit" insted of USB disconnection. Fair point! :)

Try disconnecting first - and only then press the exit button (if the disconnect event was not fired). Pressing the exit button while connected to your car system might not work as it might automatically reconnect to your car and change the screen size again.
With the latest version I don't see the 'Exit' button in the notification. Am I missing something?
You probably missed that it is hidden like in other streaming apps (e. g. Tidal, Spotify, YouTube Vanced etc.) and you need to expand to down the app controls in notification area. Here is Exit :)

I was using AAStream with the resizing option enabled, I pulled the cable while using Android Auto and since then my aspect ratio is wrong. I have on the aide of the screen black bars. I tried using AAStream again, but it did not change back.
