Value Proposition

As a user

I want to have a clear navigation and the ability to show or hide the form on demand

so that I can have a more intuitive and user-friendly interaction with the application.

Description

Acceptance Criteria

• The website has a header that includes:
  • a preliminary logo on the left side,
  • a burger menu on the right side,
  • a plus icon in the middle bottom of the header as a button for the form.
• When you click on the plus icon, the form appears with an animation and the icon turns into an X.
• When you click on the X, the form moves back up with an animation and the icon turns into a plus icon.
• All animations should be smooth and performant.
• A click on the logo should link to the homepage.
• When you click on the burger menu, an animated window should open on the right, showing the main pages one below the other (previously: Collections and Archives) clearly separated from each other. If there are subpages, this should be indicated by an arrow.
• If you click on a parent page with an arrow in the burger menu, a view of the subcategories (such as the list of collections) opens in the burger menu below and the arrow rotates to hide the list again when clicked.
• The list of pages in the burger menu should be visually distinct and easy to navigate.
• Clicking anywhere outside of the Burger menu should close the navigation menu.
• In delete mode (question: do you really want to delete the card?) the card should not be able to flip.

• [ ] Add a form toggle button with a plus icon. Use useState to manage the showing/hiding of the form. Turn the icon to an X with rotate 1.25 when the form is visible and back to the original icon when hidden.
• [ ] Implement subpage navigation within the burger menu: Allow users to click on parent pages with an arrow to view subcategories. Rotate the arrow to indicate whether the subcategories are expanded or collapsed.
• [ ] Implement smooth animations for all interactive elements: Use CSS transitions to animate the opening and closing of the form and burger menu. Ensure animations are smooth and performant to provide a good user experience.
• [ ] Disable card flipping in delete mode: Implement logic to ensure that cards cannot be flipped when the application is in delete mode.

Keep in mind that the user might not know what a burger menu is. They don't necessarily want a burger menu specifically, but rather an intuitive and user-friendly navigation. I know it's tough to write Value Propositions. Consider the following approach:

• It’s unnecessary to specify elements that are removed, such as the footer. Focus on what needs to be implemented rather than what's being discarded.
• Avoid specifying placeholder elements like the logo. Ensure all elements mentioned are production-ready, as this represents the final implementation.
• Be specific in identifying icons or buttons. Replace vague descriptions like "form button" with clear identifiers, such as "plus icon," to enhance user understanding and alignment with design expectations.

Hahaha... there's a hidden passenger here! Now I understand why you chose the title "Usability." But if we look at the Value Proposition, this point doesn’t strictly belong. Feel free to leave it in, but it's something to keep in mind.
