In GeoDa 1.5.29 on Win 7 64-bit Debug

1) Open columbus_sqlite.gda
2) Export to Mapinfo
3) choose save file as ./columbus/columbus.tab
4) choose project file as ./columbus_mapinfo_tab.gda
5) Export is reported as success
6) Attempt to open columbus_mapinf_tab.gda
7) GeoDa reports: "unknown datasource type"

Just tried same thing, but in step 3 called file columbus.mif. Same issue.

Tired same thing again, but this time called file columbus.mid. Same issue.
Question: is the program smart enough to treat mid/mif the same way?

I see that mid/mif are handled automatically. In fact, the tab/mid/mif files
can all be opened. Looking at the GDA files reveals that the type info was
blank for all three projects. This explains the project open fail.
