Not working on LibreELEC 9 (RPi3 B+)

Hi NoName92 ;-) Good to finding you again after you did a sabbatical some time ago. Haven't tried RTP Play addon on a PC but it is failing miserably on my RPi3 B+ using LibreELEC 9. :disappointed: I installed it from the official Kodi Repo. I will do my best to provide a debug log but I would need some help. Can someone point me to a guide on how to do that? But in the meantime, would you see any flagrant reason for the addon to work on your systems (mostly Android boxes, and PC's running Windows, right?) and yet failing to work on ARM "just enough operating system"? Hi, I'm running the addon on a Rpi4 (LibreELEC 9.2.0) and I've just checked and indeed the live tv (direto) section has stopped working. Is this the issue you're experiencing? Do the "programs" and "search" sections of the addon work for you or does the addon not start at all?

Hi @guipenedo No, that's not my case apparently. In your case you just can't watch live tv from RTP Play whereas in my case I can't play anything at all. I can list the ~10 tv channels but I can't watch them. I can open any "recorded" tv show and list it's episodes but I can't watch any of those too. And the search works just fine, it can find the tv shows for me but then I can't watch them.

Ever since I got an RPi and put OpenELEC and LibreELEC on it, my main issue is how to grab the logs on my computer. It's a hassle to open ssh on it, find out the password, browse the sd card for hours not knowing where the log is stored. And how to make it a debug log? Even worse. Could anyone give me some tips please? TIA Cheers

hey @john3voltas I don't do sabbatic times, I'm still around :) Unfortunately stuffed with work so this has to be put on hold for a few days. I'll try to get back to it asap, was able to reproduce.

Great to hear from you, I said you took a sabbatical because you left Plexus and AMCD, at least for a while. But maybe you kept supporting your other 'kodi-official' addons.

Never mind. I'd be very glad if you guys could fix RTP Play for RPi. Just tag my handle if you need someone to test it. TIA Cheers

Hi there, I'm using RTP play on a mi box and channels stopped playing a few weeks ago for me too... Great plugin, hope you manage to get some time to sort it out!

Hi @enen92 , I see you developed a patch and closed the issue. Nevertheless, I still can't watch anything using your addon on a RPi3B+ running LibreELEC. Is the patch just for Win/Android? Thx in advance. Cheers

@john3voltas version 5.0.3 is working just fine, there was no patch specific to any platform. Python itself runs in an interpreter and should be (almost all the time) identical everywhere. Problem is that it seems RTP now finally has blocked video streams whenever they don't have the rights to broadcast elsewhere (movies, football, etc). Check whenever you can't play a stream if the stream is available in the official rtp play website.

@enen92 Hey mate. Sorry but I'm afraid I may have mislead you a bit when I started out by mentioning that I couldn't watch any live channel. As a matter of fact, I couldn't care less for their ultra low quality live streaming feeds. The truth is, I am only trying to watch some recorded tvshows. And still doesnt work, at least not on my Pi... Any tips? Cheers

The on demand section is working just fine for me on 5.0.3. Do you have any error logs? Could you please elaborate on what you mean when you say it isn't working? Is it the search function, the results display, or is it really the playback on a specific title?

Hi @guipenedo Thanks for dropping by. By "not working" I mean, I can list all their tvshows, I can open a tvshow and list all their episodes, but when I try to play a given episode it fails on me. I will be glad to upload some logs but I need someone to point me to a guide on how to do that. Thanks

@guipenedo I think I have a log file. https://paste.kodi.tv/anuloqased While testing again, I see that some tvshows work whereas some don't. I thought they were all failing. For instance, the information ones seem to be failing but the kids ones seem to be ok, at least some of them. Hope you can narrow it down using this debug log file. Thanks in advance.

Sorry for reviving this closed issue but while LiveTV seems to be working fine, while trying to watch prerecorded shows I get a list of genres and if I open a given genre it lists a bunch of shows names. But when I try to play one of those shows, instead of playing the show it simply opens it as if it was a folder where I would choose which media file to play, but there are no media files to play at all. I only see the next page/previous page buttons. Tried it with dozens of shows. Besides that, I can't find a genre/category for #estudaremcasa , which is a very recent one. Thanks in advance. Cheers

@john3voltas I don't think #estudaremcasa is available via the same API, and I currently don't have much time to add a new section I don't use. I fixed the vod section though and tagged a new version (automatically submitted to repo)
