Missing feature for sub-titles #31

Thank you for making this addon available to the community. I use it on KODI to watch on-demand series available on RTP Play. The only feature I miss in this addon is to display sub-titles. I note that this is possible in the Android App provided by RTP. Is it possible to extend the addon to enable sub-titles?

I agree, adding subtitle support would make this much more useful/helpful for anyone looking to learn portuguese and of course for anyone looking to watch without audio for any reason.

It would be nice to have the subtitles available. I'm also studying portuguese, and it's difficult to find films and series in european portuguese. By the way, the addon is not working, I have updated it but i cannot watch any program.

@gevillanueva can you let me know a stream where those subtitles are available? I think you mean on-demand streams or do live streams also have subtitles? Is this something specific to the mobile app or the website also has subtitles available?

It doesn't work on all over the contents....it only does on some of them.

For instance, in the news they put on the screen 887 and I think they mean the Teletext we used to read in the past.

Do you know what the problem is with Kodi that it's impossible to watch RTP lately?

@gevillanueva I fixed it 2 hours ago, you should receive the update shortly (matrix version is already in the repo; krypton/leia has to wait a few hours for the repo to sync before getting in).

My request for subtitles refers to on-demand streams. An example is the series "Conta-me Como Foi" (https://www.rtp.pt/play/p7759/conta-me-como-foi) where the subtitles can be shown by clicking on the "CC" symbol in the top right corner. It would be great to use them also in KODI.

I've had problems using the add-on RTP play on Kodi

First, there were problems about playing rtp1, rtp2 and rtp3, however the others were working. Unfortunately, yesterday none of them are working anymore.

Do you know where the problem is?

Do you know the addon RTP is not working anymore? I've upgraded it to the 5.014 version in Kodi but the only thing you can watch is a short video of children's cartoon.

Hope you have the key to fix it
