Afternoon @enen92 long time no speak! I hope things are going well for you.

Is there any prospect of updating this Add-on to work with Estuary and the new sports we introduced at TheSportsDB? I just read about someone getting frustrated with the limitations that the alternative sports scraper has and reminded me of this awesome Add-on. This Add-on had so much potential and just needed the final part (playing media based on the filename string) to be amazing!

I still test it out every so often and it amazes me how far you got with it in so little time...

We added Cycling, Cricket and Tennis most recently, see here: http://www.thesportsdb.com and have loads of new features and auto updating sports now. Also loads of new teams been updated and also nearly all players for teams with artwork.

The great @zag2me! Hope you are well (and that you finally have a new awesome media center on your new house). Well this plugin is a massive amount of work to port to other skins. Specially, since it is not done in the correct way (it is linking to skin files and images that are provided by the skin itself). For a script like this to work with minimal effort (or with continuous updates), it should provide its own autocontained skin - something like the extendedinfo script does. So unfortunately, to port this to estuary would require a ridiculous amount of time..which I don't have at the moment. I think there are other priorities regarding thesportsdb. Specially, now that kodi supports python scrappers, a scrapper should be made and sent to the repository. This script is only here because I plan to use most of the logic I have there when building a new extendedinfo like script.

Thanks no worries, thought it was worth a shot ;)

The current XML sports scraper is just very bad at team vs. team events and feels like it won't ever fit into the tvshow database structure nicely. Not a problem for me as I use it for UFC and WWE event files, but I know others have been asking. Python scrapers could be very interesting in the future, lets see what that brings.
