I tried to install the msp430 package from the url above into the real Arduino version 1.9.10 it failed with this message:

Error downloading http://energia.nu/downloads/download_core.php?file=msp430-1.0.1.tar.bz2

This has not been tested. I have to fix the package_energia_index.json first. I'll see if I can tackle that this afternoon.

I discovered more issues with installing Energia cores inside the Arduino IDE. I will look at those after the next beta release.
