Stubbornly refuses to log in, despite successful OAuth attempt #49

What steps will reproduce the problem?

I am not sure 100%. The app worked fine months ago when I first got my phone, 
however I needed to uninstall it. I installed it again in the last week. Now I 
get an authentication error that my username and password was incorrect; this 
happens whether I use basic authentication or OAuth authentication. Which is a 
little bizarre considering the OAuth authentication comes up as successful once 
Twitter redirects me back to AndTweet!!

I have tried retyping my username and password a dozen times, and tried 
uninstalling and reinstalling the app loads of times, but am still unsuccessful 
in getting it working.

What version of the product are you using? On what device?

0.2.6, on a (rooted) Sony Xperia X10

Hi, I'm using v.1.0.5 now (see 
http://code.google.com/p/andtweet/downloads/list) and as far as I can tell 
OAuth and/or Basic Auth sometimes don't work on twitter.com.
I think this is NOT AndTweet bug.
And this is why sometimes I have to switch between these two Authentication 
modes.
E.g. about 14 hour ago "Verify credentials" AndTweet function didn't work for 
OAuth. Now it works :-)

Please try the latest version of AndTweet.

I've experienced similar things. I am wondering if this could have something to 
do with the API not being available as it makes the call to verify_credentials?

When I've got errors, they were not due "timeouts".
I mean Twitter API responded, but worked incorrectly (or inconsistently...) 
and/or returned errors...
E.g. sometimes I see "authentication" error when AndTweet retrieves "Direct 
messages" from the server. Sometimes this works...

After months of everyday use I can not confirm that this is the AndTweet issue.
In fact I had something similar once in 4 months: the problem disappeared some 
minutes later without any special actions (I've just repeated "Reload" command).

So I'm changing the status to "Invalid"
