error on loading large gpx file #35

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. attempt to sync with attached gpx file
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see no error.
However, I see an error. Something about "constraint". Unfortunately I
didn't write it down and I don't have time now to do it again. I'm hoping
you can reproduce by loading my attached gpx.
Note: despite the error, it *appears* that all caches were loaded. The
count at the top of the screen is correct. However, I won't know until I
get back from my trip if it actually worked right.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.6.14. Android 1.5

Please provide any additional information below.
My other comment would be that for large gpx files, it would be nice to
improve the import/sync speed. I actually wrote a similar application
years ago for a Symbian device and I had the gpx load fairly optimized.
I'd be happy to share the code - if I can still find it ;)

I can import your file with no problem (that's a lot of caches!). This is bad
new rather than good, since it
means I can't reproduce your problem.

It sounds like the database has gotten corrupted some how. You should be able
to fix this by doing an
uninstall and then a reinstall (GeoBeagle creates/stores almost no user data at
this point, so re-importing
should get you back to where you were before).

If you can reproduce this problem, let me know.

HTH,

Steve

Are you still having a problem with this?

I just got back yesterday from my trip. In the next couple days, I will try to
download the latest version and re-sync to see if it's still happening.

Sorry, my paying job has me totally swamped. I will try again as soon as I
can. If
you want to close this bug, go ahead, and I can open a new one later if needed.
