Radar is all over the place.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. When tracking a cache from some distance(more than a mile) the green dot
is often pointing in entirely the wrong direction. 
2. Even when it is pointing to the cache, generally correctly, it can
change direction across as much as 180 degrees of the radar screen.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see a dot on the radar that I can track to. What I get is a dot
that if I chase it, takes me further away from the cache.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.7.4 version on cupcake 1.5

Please provide any additional information below.
This is not always a problem and when I get close to the cache it seems to
sort itself out but it seems to have trouble holding a bearing to the target.

I think, and others may correct me if I am wrong, but I think that this is 
related to 
the GPS itself, not radar. I notice this, especially under cover. I would think 
a more 
accurate chipset and antenna would lead to more accurate results. That said, I 
am 
pretty amazed at how well it does even under fairly dense cover. Also, I have 
found if 
you stop moving for a minute it seems to sort itself out some.

My guess is, this is an issue with the hardware compass. I have myself 
experienced the 
compass becoming uncalibrated and severely confused. Pointing the device in 
different 
directions provide a sanity check that the compass is in order.
One application advised: "Trace the figure of 8 with the phone for a while"
