Waypoint functionality #76

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Today waypoints are treated as ordinary caches but have no icon or details.
They don't say which cache they belong to. They are not displayed on the
map view.

Associate waypoints with their respective geocache.
Ability to edit the list of waypoints of a specific geocache.

In cache list and map view, only display the waypoints of the currently
selected cache. (Or provide the option to hide unrelated waypoints)

Parse waypoints from GPX files; Caches imported from files named *-wpts.gpx
are assumed to be waypoints. Search other caches for references to the
waypoint id to find where the waypoint belong.

Add a new field "Parent" to the database to store which cache a waypoint
belongs to.

Add a new CacheType WAYPOINT with a new icon.

Also, a way to get rid of unused waypoints would be nice ... somehow, my list of
caches is flooded with multiple WP that were created when calling GB from a
webpage
... (alternatively, WPs should only be created if they aren't already present
in the
list of caches/waypoints)

It is already possible to remove a cache/waypoint by long-pressing in the cache
list
view.

Invoking GeoBeagle from a webpage should not create a duplicate cache entry.
Please
review #78 to see if the description there is correct.

Is it possible to set up multiple way points via data already entered into a
database and then direct a map to plan a route from nearest to farthest?

I have developer telling me that google cant do that. If that is so, I need to
find a reliable map program that can.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
