Dark mode not working on GNOME 44 #306

Description: I would like to report an issue regarding the dark mode feature in WhatsApp for Linux. It seems that the dark mode is not functioning properly on GNOME 44. When I enable dark mode in the application settings, the UI does not switch to a dark theme as expected.

Expected Behavior: When enabling dark mode, the UI should switch to a dark theme, providing a visually pleasing and comfortable user experience.

Actual Behavior: The UI remains in the default light theme even after enabling dark mode.

If I understand you correctly, this is the same issue with #200. So, we are waiting to switch to GTK4 for this.
