Players Stalled & Progress Board Wonky #234

Game Instance: Wise Guys vs. Whipper Snappers Players: Multiple

There are two teams that are in a competition to have the highest average seed score. There are several things going on right now:

1) They have colored a significant amount of the world that the robot has been defeated. What this means is that folks are stopped at the level they are at. So several folks did not get to level 4 because the robot was defeated. I think that is what is happening. If it is, I’m not sure the game should operate that way. 2) I have been tracking seed scores for each play. Today, a player who had a lot of seeds (James) all of a sudden has very few seeds and another player (Shanzhi) has an unrealistic number of seeds. This may just be a problem with the progress board. I am asking them to send me screen shots of their individual seed count.

I know we are entering into a holiday weekend, but this folks have been in a competition all week to see which team takes away the pizza party prize. If some insight can be gained that would be great.

Were you ever able to get screenshots from those players?

I sent screen shot from Shanzhi to Jay's email. I think Shanzhi was the first person to defeat the robot and as a result, got a ton of points. What others are reporting back to me jives with what I see on the Progress Board, except for “James”. Everyone else seems to be stalled, which is I think a result of the robot being defeated. I may have complicated things by starting and stopping the game.

update on 4/10/15 Evidently a second James -- "James Kiefner" ended up on the board with 470 points and the points for James Downer which were at 1809 disappeared. I wonder since they both had the same first name if James Kiefner's scores overwrote James Downers on the Progress Board.

ah, that's interesting - which problems were occurring before you restarted the game, and which ones came up after?

Before stopping, the main problem was with folks just not being able to move forward in the game. For my character I could login, but could not see any NPCs.

So I stopped and started the game and I could no longer login. I reset my password and entered a blank game. I'm am not sure if stopping the game made everything blank or there is a problem with my account

So another piece of the Progress Board puzzle. Player Morgan Babbs had 3609 points and then defeated the robot and got 1586 That is wonky.
