What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Launch program, enter in e-mail address and password
2. Program signs in, gets to "Loading mailboxes"
3. Error pops up

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Have you (or your admin) enabled the User email uploads on the Advanced tools
page
of the doamin admin pages? I had the same problem and doing this fixed it for
me.

There is no such checkbox or any way that I can see to enable "User Email
Uploads" on
the Advanced Tools page of the domain admin site.

i dont see that option either, might be on the Premier Edition only, but the
standard addition also gives you the option to upload email, but doesnt give
you the
option to turn on email migration. but i dont think it has to do with this,
because
it get's past the log in to google account with no problem, and only after it
is on
the Loading mailboxes task does it throw this exception.

Dear all, it just works with Premier edition, So it is useless to do such R & D
with
other editions

This sure is a pain in the behind. Especially because the firm seems to keep
quiet
about it. Maybe they don't want to much traffic on their puters?

I sure can put myself in Gmails position, but play with open cards for christs,
will
you? :]

This should work for standard & premier edition. Please see the discussion
group
thread on this. Cna you please provide more diagnostic information? We can't
repro
based on this, unfortunately.

I can't seem to use it on Standard Edition either.
I try to use it as instructed, and receives a 'You're not authorized to use this
feature.'

Same problem here. I started another thread about it before I saw this
discussion.

I get exactly this issue, with no options to enable email uploading in the
Google
Apps standard edition... I'm currently piloting this with my home accounts,
with a
view to upgrading to Premier for work, but I won't do that if I can't do a
simple
migration.

I note nothing has happened on this front since 2008, so I wonder if this is
being
supported?

I too am getting this error with a Standard Edition account.
Can someone at Google please explain how to troubleshoot this problem?

TIA

Since this is official Google software, a Google employee should state whether
this
works on Standard edition or not.

dang.. so it does not work with standard? Why would someone with premier even
want to
use it? They can just migrate server-side??
