Problem with Static IP #339

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. After all configs, I tried to set the static Ip, saving it in the router and
in the snake os (192.168.0.19)
2. After turning them off an on again I lost acess to snake OS. I tried to
reset it, reset router's DHCP, and tried every possible IPs that crossed my
mind, but can't find the snake OS device.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected that i can save the printer and the network device in my pcs, as
they keep the ip after turning it off an on again.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v1.3.2 - Win7

Please provide any additional information below.
I tried to plug it on a diferent network, diferent router, but i can't find it
anyway, neither trought the http://snake/, i was expecting to have some way to
reset to default setings without having lan acess to snake OS.

Thanks for support, sorry about my poor english!

Did you try to reset it by holding down the reset button for a few seconds
while it starts up?.

Yeah, i've already tried it. A few times...
That's suposed to reset to default settings, or just turn off and on again?

Reset to the default settings.

You have to hold it down for up to 20 seconds. Eventually it should reboot.

Thanks! It solved, i had already did it, but just for about 5 or 10 seconds,
after releasing the 2 usb lights blinked and i thought it would be reset to
default settings, but not.

Now holding it a bit longer, like 20 seconds, just usb 1 keep blinking, and
after releasing it was really took to default settigs.

Thanks again!
