implemented 2 of the tests
a failure to build a Docker image will now cancel all the tests that rely on that image instead of continuing with the previously built version of the image

Looking good so far. I think you missed one of the comments I left. (I blame GitHub's UI.)

Assuming you like those suggested changes, this is good to merge
