No further releases are planned, because i3pystatus doesn't have a definition of stable. You can package git, though.

Hi! I would like to package i3pystatus for debian.
Running some tests I found out that the last release is from 2016. Would you mind making a new release?
The first thing i run into is that tests fail due to pep8 styling issues, fix on: #653.
