1) Change color of the "Show details..." button to blue (same as "Comment" in the issue details dialog)
2) Remove "Issue items" (header and the list)
3) Make sure all of the emails sent for a specific issue have the same subject, so that they are properly grouped by mail reader. The first time email is sent out (when it's created or assigned), subject should be Issue name (#issueId), f.ex. "My issue (#1)". All further emails should have the same subject, but with "Re: " prefix: "Re: My issue (#1)".
4) Remove the comments section from the email. Show the last (newest) comment only when a new issue is created (and there's a comment) or when a new comment is added.
5) In the header keep the icon but remove title with id and author initials, and instead (next to the icon, in the same font as issue title) show the action that triggered sending of the email. As far as I see it, there will be 5 types:
<Name> assigned you a new issue
A new comment is posted (no need to specify name since it will be in the list of comments)
_<Name>closed the issue
<Name> reopened the issue
<Name> published and closed the request
