Avatars do not work for ens domains with emoji characters #123

Right now, anyone who is trying to add an avatar to their ENS domain that includes a domain is spinning their wheels, paying gas fees to do something that cannot currently be done. Any help with this would be a major benefit to the ENS community. If it can't be done, ENS should add an alert to addresses featuring an Emoji informing the user that avatars will not work for ENS domains including Emojis. Thank you.

Hi there, thank you for the issue. I absolutely understand your concern. We are currently on this and will be updating our service as soon as possible to align with other ens normalization efforts.

Has this bug been fixed? I just had a ticket with a user who successfully set the avatar on his emoji name: women☕.eth

Partially yes, but we are still not switched to the new normalization library, which will enable it to all valid emoji names pretty soon.
