I am not going to screw around with saving options right now. maybe in the future.
was this what we decided to put above the search bar? do we want to remove the left bar as part of this ticket?
Yes, this is what I thought we'd decided as far as what to put above the serach bar. Add some text next to the date filter saying "Optional" so that users won't think that it's required.
And as far as removing the left nav bar as part of this ticket, yeah, let's try that.
Also, you might be curious to know that if I type in "10/10 Giants", looking for the Giants @ Texans game on 10/10, no search results show up. I don't know if that's intended or not; I'm assuming not.
from our discussions today. we are not getting rid of the left nav
Yeah but I still need the search bar to be able to look up games that have already started.
hmm, okay. So, thinking about th eproblem:
Do you think the date filter should apply to the search bar or not? If not, how do I look up past games using the search bar?
i think that the date filter should apply to the search bar. and... you should be able to put in a date prior to the game and lookup past games. right now it may need to be the exact date of the game, but that is because I just have not done anything with it.
date now controls search box. closed by 066d6190979968f13fa22fde49e688401681d070
Since we're trying to eliminate the left games bar, people obv need to be able to select games that have already been played.
We can add text saying "Optional" next to the date filter to show people that they don't have to choose a date filter? That should be a pretty good solution to people thinking they have to check the date filter all the time.
Ideally, this date filter would keep its last values if the user navigated away from this page and came back.
