Let's add a tagging system so that users can tag their bets with custom attributes that they come up with. We can add a default tag to bets that are entered in before the games start as well.

I don't know if you want to make each attribute of a bet a tag as well. For instance, (first half, second half, whole game), , , etc. If you do, let me know and I'll compile a list.

I think it'd be a good idea to add a verified attribute to bets that were recorded before the event started. Obviously, people could still put it ridiculously stupid lines like Houston +90 vs. Dallas, but since people would be able to look at others' bets, I think it would be pretty obvious.

Can we do this?

do we want to have a bet tagging system? i think that it would make the most sense to allow people to tag there bets with things. possibly 1st half season, before i started using ss, nba, ncaaf. This would then allow them to do searches by tags and they can make them whatever they want. also be able to apply whatever tags they want. then we could tag peoples bets with something if they are entered before a specific deadline. if you like this idea then I will just implement the tagging system ability, and then start tagging games where people in bets for things in the future with this tag.

verified makes it kinda seem like we did some kind of check to say that they actually got the line or something. could we do something more like. "Pre Close" or something? how would this work for second half bets do i need to start saving the times that all the bets close? because i was kinda hoping not to have to always have lines for everything.

Yeah, the tagging feature sounds like a great idea! And you're right, we can name the tag "Entered Before Game" or something like that.

As far as second half bets go, ideally, yes, but if it's something you don't want to have to do, we can always just have the second half bets "close" a preset time after the game starts. 2 hours for a college football game, 1.5 hours for an NFL game, 1 hour for an NBA game, etc. It's not the cleanest solution, but ya.

Oh, and obviously the "Verified" attribute should not be user-editable.

Can we do something like mint where we can choose to have future things with the same attributes automatically tagged?

For instance, I've created a tag "NBA 2nd Half Under System." When I was tagging, I already had filtered down to show league: NBA, bet type: 2nd Half Total, Bet On: Under.

It would be nice if I had a prompt like mint that asked me if I wanted all future bets with those three attributes to be automatically tagged with that tag.

Also, unrelated, can we have a "select all" button to select all the checkboxes?
