can we have a "select all" button to select all the checkboxes?

do you like the gmail approach with a button that has options like none, and all? or just a checkbox at the top that when checked checks all the check boxes and when uncheck unchecks all. do we want an uncheck all button?

Let's have it appear above all the checkboxes, wher ethe column headers are. Actualyl, if you just put a checkbox there, I'm sure people will be smart enough to see that it checks everything when selected.
