Problems with entering in dates when typing too quickly

When I try to type in a date range, I'll often go to the from date, type in a data, tab over to the next date, then type in another date.

When I get to the second date tab, I'll start typing, and THEN it will auto-fill with what it thinks is correct. The problem is, often I'll already be done typing by the time this happens, so I'm left with gibberish as an end date.

Is there a way that we can have the second date just not auto-calculate? Keep it as it was and if it's nonsensical, provide no games? That way,, we won't run into this problem anymore.

On a side note, since you didn't answer my email, how do you use a date in the search bar? 10/10/10 Texans produces no game results

i am going to make the assumption that if you are still in one of the date boxes then you have not finished entering in a date. to get a new set of games you will have to remove your cursor out of the date boxes. not be focused in either one.
